WHAT IS COMPUTER OR INTERNET SECURITY?

                                       Security is the protection of any computer device,communication device or network from unauthorised access to data,viruses etc.

            Security involves hidden from third parties who should not have access.For example:-Credit card transaction in the store,electronic banking the ATM,direct debits and deposits at one bank.

TYPES OF SECURITY FEATURES:

1.FIREWALL:Firewall is a system or group of system that enforces an acess control policy between two networks.It blocks traffic from outside and gives summaries to administrators to ensure security along networks.

    A firewall is not simply a routes host system or collection of systems that provides security to network.A firewall is a approach to security,it helps to implement a larger security policy that defines the services and access to be permitted.

    The main purpose of a firewall is to control access to or from a protected network.It implements a network access policy by forcing connect to pass through the firewall,where they can be examined and evaluated.It is also important recognise the firewall’s configuration.

2.PROXY SERVER:A server that sits between client application,such as a web browser and a real server.

Proxy server have two main purpose:

A.Improve performance-Proxy server can improve performance for groups of users.This is because it serves the result of all request for a certain amount of time.

B.Filter Requests:Ex-A company might use a proxy server to prevent its employees from access a specific set of websites.

3.ENCRYPTION:It is a way to protect the electronic message.It is a process which involves scrambling the data or message in a complex manner.Here,we are using a secret-key and that is cryptography,when used for communication both sender and receiver must know the same secret key which is used both to encrypt a decrypt the message.
